Baseball Recap: Pacific Ridge Victorious

Pacific Ridge owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Orange Glen Patriots. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Elijah Franklin's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jed McDonald and Miles Labovitch did most of the damage at the plate: McDonald went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Labovitch got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Labovitch a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Fredericks, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Pacific Ridge's record is now 13-6. As for Orange Glen, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-9.

Coming up, Pacific Ridge will be playing at home against Guajome Park Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orange Glen, they will head out on the road to challenge Tri-City Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
