While Mead's victory against Palmer Ridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mavericks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Bears on Saturday. Mead's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six contests.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Katy Adler, who's now up to 21 this season.

Mead's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Palmer Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3-3.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Mead will be playing at home against Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Palmer Ridge, they will host Standley Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmer Ridge are facing Standley Lake at the right time seeing as Standley Lake are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
