Basketball Recap: Center Hill's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Center Hill extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Madison S. Hughes. The Center Hill Mustangs took down the Saltillo Tigers 56-41 on Tuesday thanks in part to S. Hughes, who posted 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals. She has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Karol Key, who scored four points and six boards. What's more, she also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024.

Center Hill's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. As for Saltillo, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-16.

Center Hill will welcome Grenada at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st. One thing working in Center Hill's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches. Saltillo has already played their next game (against Lake Cormorant), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
