Softball Recap: Elizabeth Forward Takes a Loss

Elizabeth Forward blew Belle Vernon out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Belle Vernon got their revenge. The Warriors fell just short of the Leopards by a score of 6-4. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Addy Nigut made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

With the loss, Elizabeth Forward broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2. As for Belle Vernon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Coincidentally, Elizabeth Forward and Belle Vernon will both be playing West Mifflin the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Titans at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, while the Leopards will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
