Valley entered their tilt with Russell County on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 51-39 win over the Russell County Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Warriors back in December of 2024, they had to take a 58-52 defeat.

Kayden Dooley was her usual excellent self, going 7 of 16 on her way to 21 points. Jamiah Johnson was another key player, putting up nine points.

When it comes to explaining why Russell County lost, don't look at Mckenzie Word. Despite the final result, she went 11 for 22 en route to 31 points and four steals. Those 31 points gave Word a new career-high.

Valley's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Russell County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
