Volleyball Recap: Lake Wales Comes Up Short

The Lake Wales Highlanders lost 3-0 to the Lake Region Thunder on Thursday. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake Wales couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Lake Region a tough time in the third set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 30-28.

Lake Wales' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lake Region, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Coming up, Lake Wales will be playing in front of their home fans against George Jenkins at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. George Jenkins will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lake Wales surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake Region, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bartow at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give Lake Region their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
