Volleyball Recap: Michigan City Comes Up Short

Michigan City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marquette Catholic Blazers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blazers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Michigan City's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Marquette Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Michigan City has already played their next contest (against Westville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Marquette Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Knox on the 4th.
