Basketball Recap: Tyler Legacy Takes a Loss

Tyler Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Houston Christian Mustangs, falling 63-43. The Raiders lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in November of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-30 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Tyler Legacy lost, don't look at Zyere Ceasar. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. The contest was Ceasar's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Derein Hollman, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Tyler Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Houston Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coincidentally, Tyler Legacy and Houston Christian will both be playing Mesquite the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Skeeters at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
