Baseball Recap: Leakey Takes a Loss

Leakey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Medina Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-1 back in February.

Leakey saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vincent Pintor, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Leakey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Medina, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Coincidentally, Leakey and Medina will both be playing Menard the next time they take the field. Medina will host Menard at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Leakey will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
