Football Recap: Vardaman Falls to Nanih Waiya in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Vardaman had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Nanih Waiya Warriors and fell 49-3. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Leading Nanih Waiya to victory were Korben Sanders and Kade Massey. Sanders rushed for 193 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries, while Massey rushed for 140 yards and three scores on only nine carries.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vardaman will welcome Bruce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nanih Waiya, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Webster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
