Capitan's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 56-50 victory over the Lordsburg Mavericks. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 76-31 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Dj Robinson was the offensive standout of the game as he posted 18 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Long, who had 12 points.

Capitan's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Lordsburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Capitan is set to challenge their familiar foe Mescalero Apache at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lordsburg will take on rival Cloudcroft at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
