Baseball Game Preview: Citrus Hill Hawks vs. Highland Bulldogs

The Citrus Hill Hawks will head out to take on the Highland Bulldogs at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Citrus Hill's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Citrus Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They skirted past Rancho Christian 2-1.

Efren Urrea spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Citrus Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Farmer, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Farmer has hit this season. Gabriel Brion was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Highland waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Centurions by a score of 3-0.

Mateo Dominguez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Citrus Hill's record now sits at 16-7. As for Highland, their record is now 18-9-1.
