Basketball Recap: Central DeWitt Takes a Loss

Central DeWitt lost against Davenport North back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Central DeWitt lost to the Davenport North Wildcats at home by a 62-48 margin.

Central DeWitt has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Davenport North, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Central DeWitt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-54 win against Muscatine on the 25th. As for Davenport North, they will square off against Davenport Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Davenport Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
