Soccer Game Preview: Abilene vs. Permian

The Abilene Eagles will face off against the Permian Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abilene's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Abilene and San Angelo Central finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Permian brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their defense stepped up to hand Stephenville a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. The match was close at halftime, but Permian turned on the heat in the second half with three goals.

They hit Stephenville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Iker Munoz, Devin Martin, Oscar Valles, and Diego Morales.

With that draw, Abilene's record moves to 7-2-2. As for Permian, their win bumped their record up to 8-2-2.
