El Rancho suffers 11th straight loss at home

The El Rancho Dons 's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They lost to Whittier at home by a decisive 70-51 margin. El Rancho has not had much luck with Whittier recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, El Rancho saw an underclassman step up: Andrew Morones scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Rivas, who scored 12 points along with two blocks.
El Rancho's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Whittier, their victory bumped their record up to 12-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Rancho will challenge La Serna at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. La Serna will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Whittier, they will head out on the road to take on Santa Fe at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Santa Fe is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
