South Davidson lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Chatham Central, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's   matchup. The Wildcats really took it to the Bears for the full four quarters, racking up  a  48-6 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 21  points or more this season.
 Gage Underwood continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 106 yards and three  touchdowns on only eight carries. Those  three  rushing touchdowns gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  George Nilsen IV, who rushed for 86 yards and one  score on only nine carries.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 342  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chatham Central only  rushed for 65.
South Davidson's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Chatham Central,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-8.
 Coming up, South Davidson will square off against Bishop McGuinness at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Villains have now posted at least 31  points  in their last three contests. As for Chatham Central, they will be playing at home against Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Bears will be up against the Phoenix's rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.44  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
