Recap: Howard Hawks vs. Cross Keys Indians
The Howard Hawks lost against the Cross Keys Indians back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Howard suffered a rough 41-21 loss at the hands of Cross Keys. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Howard in their matchups with Cross Keys: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Howard still got an impressive performance from Ava Beck, who scored ten points.
Cross Keys found their leader in underclassman Lindsey Tran, who scored 14 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Michelle Barron, who scored six points along with five steals.
Howard now has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for Cross Keys, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-10 record this season.
Howard will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Tapestry Charter at 5:30 p.m. As for Cross Keys, they will head out on the road to face off against Cottage at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
