Volleyball Recap: Colbert County Takes a Loss

Colbert County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brooks Lions. The Indians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in September of 2022.

Colbert County may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0.

Ashlyn Richardson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 assists and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matches.

Colbert County's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Brooks, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-15 record this season.

Colbert County has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Russellville on the 20th. As for Brooks, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Clements on the 20th.
