Baseball Recap: Cole Camp Find Success

Cole Camp's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Santa Fe Chiefs an 11-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Birds considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Grant Rodriguez was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dasch Kaiser, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

The victory got Cole Camp back to even at 1-1. As for Santa Fe, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Cole Camp will head out to square off against St. Paul Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Fe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
