Christ Academy can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past the Azle Christian Fighting Crusaders 62-42. The Warriors pushed the score to 47-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Fighting Crusaders cut but never quite recovered from.

Christ Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylen Cooley, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Gavin Southard, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

Christ Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Azle Christian only posted one.

Christ Academy's record now sits at 9-7. As for Azle Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13.

Coming up, Christ Academy will welcome Texoma Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Azle Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
