Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Christian Academy Patriots vs. El Dorado Christian Buffalos

Having just played yesterday, the Clinton Christian Academy Patriots will jump right back in to play the El Dorado Christian Buffalos at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Clinton Christian Academy came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 60-33 loss at the hands of Plaza Heights Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Patriots have suffered since February 8, 2024.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Parker Lowe, who posted 13 points. Mason Plumb was another key player, putting up five points.

Meanwhile, El Dorado Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down the Mustangs 53-35. Given the Buffalos' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Mustangs are ranked 508th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

El Dorado Christian's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points over those games. As for Clinton Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Clinton Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against El Dorado Christian in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 48-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clinton Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
