Pomona is 9-1 against Bassett since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Pomona Red Devils will welcome the Bassett Olympians at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Pomona is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 63 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Workman on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Lobos and fell 81-18. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-5.

Pomona's loss came about despite a quality game from Carmine Carrillo, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Bassett ended up a good deal behind La Puente on Thursday and lost 59-43. The defeat continues a trend for the Olympians in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Bassett's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12. As for Pomona, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Pomona was dealt a bruising 87-26 loss at the hands of Bassett in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Pomona was down 43-13.
