Softball Recap: Sandpoint Takes a Loss

Sandpoint came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-8 to the Lakeland Hawks. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Baylie Hindle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Arah Stevens was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Sandpoint's loss dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Lakeland, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-17.

As of now, neither Sandpoint nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
