Soccer Game Preview: Newman Smith vs. Reedy

The Newman Smith Trojans will face off against the Reedy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Newman Smith is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let The Colony get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Trojans needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Meanwhile, Reedy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 3-0 victory. Considering the Lions have won seven games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Newman Smith's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Reedy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Newman Smith suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Reedy when the teams last played back in February. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Newman Smith was down 4-0.
