Volleyball Game Preview: Western Hills Wolverines vs. Franklin County Flyers

The Western Hills Wolverines will square off against the Franklin County Flyers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Western Hills is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kentucky's top teams: Paul Laurence Dunbar, who was ranked 12th at the time (Western Hills was ranked ninth). The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Western Hills was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15, 26-24.

Franklin County not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31st (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Shelby County as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Flyers haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Franklin County pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Western Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

Western Hills skirted past Franklin County 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Flyers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
