Softball Recap: Byron Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Byron didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Durand Railroaders on Monday. The Eagles' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Byron's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.0 runs this season. As for Durand, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Byron will host Chesaning at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Durand, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Kearsley at 4:00 p.m.
