On Thursday fans watched as two of the best teams in the nation hit the field. In a tight match that could have gone either way, the Collins Hill Eagles made off with a 13-12 victory over the Mill Creek Hawks. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 24-18 loss the last time these two teams met.
A big part of Collins Hill's win came down to the chemistry between Makyree Cross and his top target Alijah Patillo. Cross threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns while Patillo picked up 103 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
