Baseball Recap: Warren Central Vikings vs. Center Hill Mustangs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Warren Central had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Center Hill Mustangs a 5-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Warren Central sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Center Hill's batters probably weren't too happy with Brooks Willoughby, who pitched a no hitter and racked up eight Ks (he gave up four walks). Those seven innings set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cade Fairley, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Hayes Loper was another key contributor, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with a double and an RBI.

Warren Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 21-12 record this season. As for Center Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-12.
