Softball Recap: Chavez Takes a Loss

Chavez came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Garfield Bulldogs by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Gabby Duran was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Alyssa Anaya made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs. Jessica Ramos was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
