Basketball Recap: Williston Takes a Loss

Williston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Mandan Braves and fell 91-40. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Braves are ranked 13th).

Williston's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Mandan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williston will take on St. Mary's Central at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Mandan, they are taking a road trip to take on Dickinson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mandan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
