Basketball Recap: Camden Takes a Loss

Camden's tournament run continued when they took on Georgetown on Saturday. The Camden Bulldogs took a hard 73-55 fall against the Georgetown Bulldogs. Camden has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Camden still got an impressive performance from Jahmarie Mcleod, who went 8 for 20 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 40% of Camden's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Derrick Loney was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards.

Even though they lost, Camden smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

It was another big night for Amos Jones, who put up 35 points for Georgetown. The team also got some help courtesy of Jari Ford, who had 13 points.

Camden's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Georgetown, their record is now 8-5.

Camden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-45 loss against Dreher on the 6th. As for Georgetown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-35 victory against Hanahan on the 7th.
