Basketball Game Preview: Lake Belton Broncos vs. Chaparral Bobcats

Lake Belton hasn't had much luck against Chaparral recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lake Belton Broncos will square off against the Chaparral Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Lake Belton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

On Friday, Lake Belton didn't have too much trouble with Waco as they won 57-42.

Meanwhile, Chaparral unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 57-50 to Belton. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Tigers are ranked 99th).

Lake Belton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Chaparral, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-9.

Lake Belton suffered a grim 70-48 defeat to Chaparral in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Lake Belton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
