Basketball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Pawnee Black Bears an easy 59-38 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Maroons have suffered against the Black Bears since December 18, 2015.

Perry now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Pawnee, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-3 record.

Perry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-42 loss against Alva on the 20th. As for Pawnee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-38 win against Newkirk on the 20th.
