Baseball Recap: Olive Branch Comes Up Short

Olive Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the South Panola Tigers. The Conquistadors were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Olive Branch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derion Harden, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Olive Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for South Panola, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

While Olive Branch had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
