Kouts had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it 16 on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the La Porte Slicers a 2-0 shutout.

Billy Miller made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Kouts' win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for La Porte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.
