Season Preview:
This group will look to do what no other team has ever done in the history of the storied program — win a fourth consecutive state title.

The Bengals enter 2019-20 as heavy favorites to do just that, returning a strong core led by their high-major guard tandem of Carson McCorkle and Cam Hayes.

Other players expected to make strong contributions this season include high-scoring guard Brock Williams,  talented freshman guard Jaydon Young and incoming transfer Bryce Harris.

Always a well-coached group, the top-ranked team from the Tar Heel State will have to find a way to contain elite big men against national competition without a true post presence in their rotation.

They will travel to the Chick-Fil-A Classic, Bass Pro Tournament of Champions and take on quality in-state competition throughout the year.

If the Bengals can perform well in the previously mentioned events, they could have an opportunity to make a run at their third trip to GEICO Nationals in early April.
