Basketball Recap: Powers Piles Up the Points Against Falls City/Kings Valley Charter

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Toledo, Powers was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Falls City/Kings Valley Charter Mountaineers 45-9. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for the Cruisers this season.

The win snapped Powers' losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Falls City/Kings Valley Charter, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Powers will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gold Beach at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Falls City/Kings Valley Charter also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Lewis Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
