Baseball Recap: Three Rivers Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

Three Rivers got themselves on the board against Dowagiac on Saturday, but Dowagiac never followed suit. They came out on top against the Chieftains by a score of 4-0. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Chieftains walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Jace Gray was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Kaleb Williams also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Three Rivers is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Dowagiac, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Three Rivers will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chieftains: the pair will be back at it again later today.
