Marquielle Tory leads Fort Myers to victory over Riverdale

Recap: Fort Myers Green Wave vs. Riverdale Raiders

The Fort Myers Green Wave entered their tilt with the Riverdale Raiders with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Fort Myers walked away with a 75-64 win over Riverdale on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Marquielle Tory continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 13 steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was marvin tory, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Konnor Vonhagen, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Vonhagen hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Jamar Underwood was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Fort Myers' win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Riverdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Fort Myers won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Charlotte focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for Riverdale, they will take on Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
