Laconia is 6-1 against Campbellsport since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Spartans are taking a road trip to take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Laconia will be strutting in after a win while Campbellsport will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Laconia got the win against North Fond du Lac by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Orioles: they've now won eight in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Laconia took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-8, 25-12.

Josie Basler was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had ten digs and five aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven matchups.

Basler wasn't the only good servers: Laconia was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Campbellsport took on University School of Milwaukee on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Laconia's record is now 16-5. As for Campbellsport, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

Laconia couldn't quite get it done against Campbellsport when the teams last played last Saturday as they fell 2-0. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
