Basketball Recap: Ann Sobrato Takes a Loss

Ann Sobrato fought the good fight in their overtime game against Live Oak on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Live Oak Acorns. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Acorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Ann Sobrato has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Live Oak, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.

Ann Sobrato will challenge Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oak Grove will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Ann Sobrato surely won't give up without a fight. As for Live Oak, they will take on Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Live Oak is facing Mt. Pleasant at the right time seeing as Mt. Pleasant is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
