Volleyball Recap: Genesis Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Genesis Prep Academy managed to slip by Wallace the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Jaguars lost 3-0 to the Miners on Thursday. The Jaguars just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-6, 25-8.

Wallace's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Berry led the charge by getting four aces. That's the most aces Berry has posted since back in October of 2024. Khepri Wood also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Genesis Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Wallace, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Coincidentally, Genesis Prep Academy and Wallace will both be playing Kootenai the next time they take the court. The Miners will host the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Jaguars will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
