Asheville School (Independent) waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Asheville Christian Academy Lions as they made off with a 67-41 victory. The Blues have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Asheville School (Independent) was led to victory by Ryann Hernandez and Jaza Wilson. Hernandez posted 21 points and five steals, while Wilson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Wilson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alisha Watkins, who scored 11 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Asheville School (Independent) smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Asheville Christian Academy only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Asheville Christian Academy lost, don't look at Sara Larios. Despite the final result, she put up 18 points and seven boards. Larios' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ansley Fuchs, who had ten points and five rebounds.

Asheville School (Independent)'s win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Asheville Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-9 record.

Asheville School (Independent) will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee at 5:15 p.m. Asheville School (Independent) knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Rabun Gap-Nacoochee likes a good challenge.
