Primero and Sierra Grande are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Primero came up short against Sargent and fell 3-1. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Primero started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Sierra Grande had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Mountain Valley by a score of 3-1 on Saturday.

Sierra Grande had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.

Sierra Grande's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-10. As for Primero, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.

Primero was able to grind out a solid victory over Sierra Grande in their previous matchup back in August, winning 2-0. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
