Recap: Gibsonburg Golden Bears vs. Woodmore Wildcats

In what's become a running theme this season, the Gibsonburg Golden Bears gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They put the hurt on Woodmore with a sharp 48-26 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Gibsonburg who now have eight in a row.

Gibsonburg's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Paul, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Paul has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Elly Evarts, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Gibsonburg's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Woodmore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.

Gibsonburg will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Danbury at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. Danbury's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so Gibsonburg's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Woodmore, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hopewell-Loudon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
