Preview: Amory Panthers vs. New Albany Bulldogs
Amory is 1-6 against New Albany since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Amory Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the New Albany Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Amory will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Amory didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Shannon, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, New Albany's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 62-52 to Senatobia. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points New Albany has scored all season.
Despite the loss, New Albany saw an underclassman step up: Braden Shettles scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Ke?Lan Simpson, who scored ten points.
Amory pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for New Albany, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
