Basketball Game Preview: Keystone Wildcats vs. Clearview Clippers

The Keystone Wildcats will take on the Clearview Clippers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Keystone's favor as the team sits on 22 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Clearview has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Last Monday, Keystone ended up a good deal behind Padua Franciscan and lost 57-42. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Vivian Cassell, who almost dropped a double-double on nine rebounds and nine steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 19 times she's played. Madyson Sokolowski was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, Clearview lost 66-45 to Fairview on Monday.

Keystone's defeat ended a 19-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 17-1. As for Clearview, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Everything came up roses for Keystone against Clearview in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 76-33 victory. In that contest, Keystone amassed a halftime lead of 54-23, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
