Softball Recap: Community Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Community owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Dale County Warriors by a score of 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings/Viqueens.

Not much got past Annie Prince, who gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Dale County off the board. Those 15 strikeouts gave Prince a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Community's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Taylar Wessner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Community pushed their record up to 13-2-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.9 runs. As for Dale County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-7.

Coming up, Community will take on Waterloo in a tournament on Tuesday. Waterloo will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Community surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dale County, they will square off against Pike County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
