Softball Game Preview: Valhalla Norsemen vs. Bonita Vista Barons

The Valhalla Norsemen will head out on the road to take on the Bonita Vista Barons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valhalla's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six games, but Thursday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Valhalla fell victim to Rancho Buena Vista and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to the Longhorns.

Valhalla saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalia Marco, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Bonita Vista sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over Mission Hills on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Barons.

Natalie Gonzalez tossed a big game, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Olympia Jara, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Sabrina Perez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Bonita Vista's record now sits at 9-2. As for Valhalla, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
