Basketball Game Preview: Sevier County Smoky Bears vs. Hardin Valley Academy Hawks

The Sevier County Smoky Bears will challenge the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sevier County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Sevier County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Lipscomb Academy, who was ranked 13th at the time (Sevier County was ranked 16th). Sevier County came out on top against Lipscomb Academy by a score of 58-46 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Hardin Valley Academy's game on Friday was all tied up 27-27 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morristown-Hamblen East. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sevier County has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Hardin Valley Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything came up roses for Sevier County against Hardin Valley Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as the team secured a 62-25 win.
